Overview

Mayfield is a global venture capital firm with over $2.6 billion under management and a 45 year history of championing entrepreneurs. Since their founding in 1969, they have raised 14 U.S. funds, two dedicated India funds, and partner with GSR Ventures to invest in China. They primarily invest in early-stage U.S. and cross-border companies that leverage the drivers of cloud/Saas, mobile, social, and big data. To date, Mayfield has invested in over 500 companies, resulting in 113 IPOs and more than 150 mergers or acquisitions. Some of their recent successes include Solarcity (NASDAQ_SCTY), Marketo (NASDAQ:MKTO), Qunar (NASDAQ:QUNR), Basis (acquired by Intel), StorSimple (acquired by Microsoft), and Zenprise (acquired by Citrix).
