Overview

Making investments that generate both financial and social returns while helping to accelerate the economic resurgence of Western New YorkOn August 25 2017 the Western New York Impact Investment Fund (WNYIIF) officially launched an innovative for profit investment fund featuring the collaboration between corporate private and philanthropic investors who pooled their capital to seek both financial and social returns supporting the WNY resurgence. The fund is committed to providing a new source of funding for socially responsible organizations and businesses located in the Buffalo/Niagara region comprising the eight counties of Western New York while seeking a financial return on investments. Social impact could include but not limited to workforce education/development workforce diversity neighborhood revitalization health and environment friendly and job creation. The launch represents the culmination of three years of research and preparation led by the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo.
