Andrea Schorr

Overview

Andrea Schorr has more than ten years experience working with organizations that serve communities in the areas of education youth development and health. Most recently Andrea was the co founder and Associate Executive Director of Groundwork a new Brooklyn based organization that works with public schools to offer summer school and after school education programs mental health programs and other support services to children and families in high poverty New York City neighborhoods. Prior to Groundwork Andrea spent four years working in Washington D.C. as a program associate with the Morino Institute a foundation that manages Venture Philanthropy Partners a fund dedicated to supporting organizations that work with children and families in the D.C. region. Andrea's experience also includes program development and program management positions with Fund for the City of New York and Leadership Education and Athletics in Partnership (LEAP) a youth development organization.
