Overview
MoooFarm founded by Param Singh and Aashna Singh is an innovative Australian AgTech company that uses Australia's global leadership and expertise in the areas of skills agribusiness and technology to drive social change in developing countries such as India. For the past couple of months MoooFarm is working at the grassroots with UDAY an Indian private skills training and extension company also founded by Param Singh to understand how access of skills training and technology can increase the income of 75million smallholder dairy farmers in India. The pilot is being conducted in collaboration with a milk producer company of Punjab which provides forward linkage to 35000 small holder Dairy farmers. On 8th March 2018 this initiative received Innovative Idea of the Year award from the Finance Minister of Punjab at TieCon. MoooFarm has already developed phase 1 of MoooFarm mobile application for small dairy farmers which was inaugurated by Her Excellency Ms. Harinder Sidhu Australian High Commissioner to India. MoooFarm mobile application is a dairy farm management tool that uses data analytics to offer demand led extension to the small dairy farmers in India. It maps the life cycle of each cattle owned by the farmers manages their accounts sends need based alerts etc. The next phase will involve building an e commerce platform connecting the farmers to the local vets input suppliers and call center and delivering skills programs through an e learning tool among other features.
