Overview
Tiny Farms is pioneering the scalable production of insects for use in food animal feed and industry. Our team are experts in insect rearing automatic data capture technologies design and making. Demand for food grade insects is doubling annually with dozens of startups marketing new consumer food products. There is growing interest in insect derivatives like proteins lipids and chitin for use in animal feed and industrial processes. Current farms are inefficient and low volume so insects remain expensive and difficult to source. Using high resolution data capture and analytics to guide iterative development of a smart scalable mass rearing system we're building a profitable high efficiency cricket farm in San Leandro California. Our long term vision is to build a pipeline for the assay of insect species potential as agricultural products and the development of systems for their commercial production.
