Overview

Dr. Thomas is the Board of Directors at Africa Agriculture and Trade Investment Fund. Dr. Thomas Duve is Director of the Department “Southern Africa and Regional Funds" at KfW Development Bank. Before his current appointment, he headed KfW’s Inhouse Consulting Unit. Prior to that he was responsible for the product design and business policy of various promotional programmes of KfW in Germany, with a focus on energy efficiency and renewable energy measures in residential buildings. He acquired working experience in Africa with KfW Development Bank from 1995 to 2001 and in Rural Development Projects with GIZ in Ghana and Burkina Faso (1991-1994) on participatory land management. Dr. Thomas Duve holds a Master degree in Geography and Biology. He obtained a PhD-Degree focussing on the management of agricultural risks in 1989 and followed a Postgraduate Course in Rural Development in 1990.
