Overview
The California FreshWorks Fund granted $13900 for the development of the mobile produce market targeting underserved communities in rural Yolo County. The market was developed by Mariposa Valley Farm a local organic farm in partnership with the Yolo Family Resource Center a nonprofit service provider that engages families in accessing support and resources promoting health stability and self sufficiency so that children thrive in and contribute to a strong community. The mobile market will makes weekly stops in five communities in Yolo County offering produce and other healthy foods for sale at affordable prices.
