Overview
Marten is founder of Susteq, an organization that supports reliable water access with a micro-payment solution. Four years ago, during his MBA graduation assignment for Philips, Marten got exited about the opportunities for water access and local entrepreneurship in Africa. Encouraged by a successful prototype test in Ghana, he and the team of Susteq further developed the water payment system. With support of launching customers the first micro-payment systems are now providing reliable water access in Kenya. Marten (31) has appeared in several national media i.e. BNR, Nu.nl and Vice-Versa. According to Sprout he is amongst the top 50 most challenging entrepreneurs of the Netherlands, and via Shell Livewire, Susteq is one of the 13 most innovative young Dutch enterprises.
